Music: Mozart's Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra, Adagio.

Plitvice Lake National Park is stunningly beautiful and unique; it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979. It is about 2 hours South of Zagreb in Croatia. From the house, you can drive to it in ≈ 5 hours via Trieste (or Ljubljana/Zagreb). Use at least 3-4 hours in the park.

There are 16 major lakes in the area, all separated by naturally occurring travertine dams, where moss, algae and bacteria give amazing color shades. All the lakes are connected by literally thousands of waterfalls that can be seen from a distance, close up, from above and below, and from the side. The park is only for pedestrians, but there are open electric boats that sail the major lake and busses that run from the major entrance to the upper lookout points. The park is the closest one can get to the Garden of Eden.
